The new year begins with a significant step forward in water quality monitoring in Poland. As part of our long-term collaboration with Przedsi\u0119biorstwo Gospodarki Wodnej i Rekultywacji SA (PGWiR S.A.)<\/b><\/span>, we have completed another installation of a Waterly monitoring buoy on the Odra River<\/b><\/span>, this time near the railway bridge in Olza, close to the Czech border<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

This strategic location allows us to better monitor the river\u2019s condition in the southern region of the country<\/b><\/span>. The choice of this site was not random\u2014it is an area where real-time water quality analysis and rapid response to environmental changes are crucial.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udccd <\/span>Why Olza?<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

Olza is a town located <\/span>right on the Polish-Czech border, next to the Odra River<\/b>. The decision to install a monitoring system here stems from <\/span>the need to track water quality before it merges with industrial tributaries<\/b>. <\/span>PGWiR S.A. aims to obtain precise data on the Odra’s condition before their water joins the river, allowing better control over its environmental impact<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, photos from the installation show how the area looks after the 2024 flood<\/b><\/span>. Events like this emphasize the importance of continuous water level and quality monitoring in real-time.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udca7 <\/span>How Does the Waterly Buoy Work?<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n

Our fully autonomous<\/b><\/span> monitoring buoy collects and transmits real-time data to the cloud. At this location, the buoy currently measures:<\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Electrical conductivity<\/b> \u26a1<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)<\/b> \ud83d\udca7<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Salinity<\/b> \ud83c\udf0a<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2705 <\/span>Air parameters<\/b> \ud83c\udf2c<\/span><\/p>\n

This allows users to track water conditions and atmospheric data in real-time<\/b><\/span> and respond immediately to any deviations from normal levels. Live data from this installation is available at waterly.cloud<\/b><\/span><\/a> \ud83d\udce1\ud83d\udcca.<\/p>\n
