We are extremely proud to share our impressions from the conference “Automation of Water Resource Monitoring”, which took place on October 10, 2024, at the Science and Technology Park in Suwałki. It was a unique event where experts from various fields—scientists, local government officials, and innovators—discussed modern technologies for environmental monitoring and water resource protection.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Mayor of Suwałki, Mr. Czesław Renkiewicz, for his honorary patronage of the event. His support was incredibly valuable to us and added prestige to the entire initiative. We also thank Ms. Weronika Maćkiewicz for her professional hosting of the conference, which contributed greatly to its success.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the panelists for their participation, valuable presentations, and lively discussions:

  • Dr. Eng. Dariusz Ulikowski—for his lecture on the use of measurement buoys during the disaster at Dzierżno Duże.
  • Dr. Marcin Nowak and Rafał Kowalczyk—for their presentation on unmanned vehicles.
  • Agnieszka Karłowicz—for discussing funding sources in the context of water resource protection.
  • Izabela Sałamacha—for her presentation on caring for water resources.
  • Prof. Dr. Hab. Włodzimierz Marszelewski and Dr. Adam Solarczyk—for sharing insights on earlier methods of water monitoring and valuable remarks on the role of modern technologies in water management.
  • Sławomir Seroka—for sharing experiences gathered in the Brodnica Landscape Park.
  • Tomasz Bajor and Radosław Skórkowski—for discussions on water protection in Wolin National Park.

Our thanks also go to the event partners:

  • Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń
