Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to assist the local community in combating a severe ecological crisis affecting Lake Dzierżno Duże. Over 100 tons of dead fish have already been removed from the reservoir, dealing a significant blow to the local ecosystem, community, and anglers who visited Dzierżno Duże from across Poland.
In response to this tragic situation, the local community and reservoir administration took action to save as many fish as possible. Utilizing the “Stawiki” bay (a local name for the Dzierżno Duże bay), they decided to create the Last Haven, providing fish with stable conditions for survival. Upon arrival, we found various equipment, including aerators, power generators, boats, and, most importantly, people working with full commitment. However, they lacked a system that could continuously monitor the water parameters in the Last Haven.
Faced with this dire situation and the local community’s appeal for a water parameter monitoring system, we decided to step in and help in any way we could.
We installed our advanced water quality monitoring system there. Thanks to this solution, the community now has constant access to real-time data on water parameters, enabling immediate response to any changes in the aquatic environment.
Within a few days, we will make information about the water condition in Dzierżno Duże available on our app’s map, along with its parameters, so that everyone can view and compare water data, even with Lake Wigry in Suwalszczyzna.
